‘Knowing this is where you want to retire’: I moved out of state for my retirement. Was it the right choice?

So, when I say “as part of retirement,” I’m talking about either shortly before retiring (like, you know this is where you want to retire) or right after you retire. And by “where,” I mean what state did you move to? Could you tell the city or just say if it’s a big city, somewhere out in the countryside, or in a medium-sized town? Also, it’d be awesome if you could explain why you picked that spot, what you were looking for, and what you’ve found since moving there.
